Using the Welltended website, you can use our quiz to help figure out the perfect plants for your lifestyle and environmental conditions, and then we deliver directly to you. Every order includes care instructions and watering reminders. We make it easy and stress free to cultivate your own urban retreat in the midst of hectic day-to-day life.
Where are you located?
Welltended is a 100% online source for plants + containers. We don't currently have a brick-and-mortar location. Our headquarters are in Lincoln Park and today we deliver throughout the Chicago metro area.

Does the plant arrive in one piece?

Every plant is delivered with great care, and we ensure that it's in excellent condition upon arrival. To prove it, we offer a 30-day guarantee. If you're unhappy with your order for any reason in the first 30 days, we'll give you your money back. Period.
Okay, I like this idea...but I've killed plants in the past. What if I can't keep it alive?
That's what we're here for! Plants require experimenting to learn how to care for them properly...so don't feel too down if you've had a bad experience caring for plants in the past! Our team includes experts in the environment, plant science, and conservation. To help you along your journey, you can use our quiz to make sure you're selecting the right plant for your space's environmental conditions. That step alone will do wonders for helping you choose a plant that should thrive in your home. Then, we've crafted easy-to-follow care instructions that are included with your order, and once you receive the plant, you can also sign up for watering reminders. Our team is also easy to reach for any questions along the way. We offer a guarantee and your money back if you have a bad experience in the first 30 days. We'd love to try! You are welcome to call or text us at 312-600-5998 or email email@example.com and our team will respond to you within 24 hours. We're happy to help anyone with their plant questions, whether or not you're a current customer. We also have a great repository of plant information and care trips here.
Where do you deliver?
We currently deliver throughout the Chicago metropolitan area. That said, we're a startup and we definitely want to grow. Your support is one step closer to that!
What happens when I place my order?
When you place your order, you choose the plant + container combo that you love, as well as the date that you'd like the plant delivered. Once your order is submitted, we hand select a healthy plant, pot your plant in its container, wrap it up, and deliver on the date specified. If your Welltended order is a gift, there's also a 'Notes' field during checkout where you can include a note, which we'll hand-write and include with delivery.
What if I'm not home for delivery?
No problem! You don't need to be home for delivery. That said, your plant is living and breathing, so it's best if you'll be home within 1-2 days of ordering.
Where do you source your plants and containers from?
Our plants are sourced from local plant wholesalers, who most often source your indoor plants from Florida. Our containers are sourced from wholesale curators of beautiful ceramics and baskets, and we also love to partner with ceramics artists like Kansas City-based Convivial Production and others.
Can I send a plant as a gift?
For sure! There's a 'Notes' field at checkout, where you can provide a message to the person you're gifting. You can also provide their email address and we'll sign them up for our cadence of post-delivery emails, which includes the option to sign up for watering reminders. This is a great gift for holidays like Mother's Day, as well as for hostess gifts and housewarmings.

We are a group of plant lovers, who simply feel the world deserves to have plant life available at the click of a button. Our Founder got her undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies and recently graduated from the Kellogg School of Management. The rest of our team includes tech whizzes and plant conservationists. We love plants and we love home decor...and we want you to embrace that combo as well. We feel confident that you'll instantly experience the pride of tending so exceptionally well to your home and yourself.
